Canto XVIII

No more weekend. Man I hate mondays. Not that I don't love my work. But still, hearing the alarm on a monday morning will certainly be one of my (many) punishments in Hell.

But it was a good weekend. Got some school stuff done, but not enough to feel "ahead". Did some work around the house, but there's still plenty on the to-do list. We need to get some lights and a Christmas Tree. I insist on getting a cheap smallish plastic one, so it won't burn down our place while were gone. But Steph thinks this is akin to worshipping Baal. She's against it. We also went to the mall for a while doing some window shopping and get gift ideas. And saw the new Bond film. We went to the 10:45am showing on Sunday, which means cheap tickets! In fact, just $6 a piece, cheapest I've been to the movies since Eugene. And the movie wasn't too bad. Too long by a good 20 minutes (very noticable when you have to go to the bathroom), but fun. Would have been more enjoyable on a friday or saturday night, but the price was right. I think I can recommend this. If you like action films. Finally, the leftovers. I made it through the mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, regular stuffing (the vegetarian stuffing is still around), and Steph finished off the beans. Looks like it's just the mountain of turkey that's between me and a new meal. Got to keep eating...

A plastic Christmas tree? I'm afraid that I'm going to have to side with Steph on this- not only is that akin to worshipping Baal, but you might as well play "kick the baby" with a Nativity scene while you're at it.
I'm miffed that I won't be able to see the new Bond movie in theaters. Well, I could, but apparently it's dubbed and I'll have to wait for a DVD release. Are subtitles really that hard? No, no they are not. Your talk of excessive turkey made me the slightest bit homesick. Mmmm... leftovers.
