Last week we had a party to celebrate our DoE review (funding for MIT), and they served lobster! It seems weird to have a party to rejoice being done with our funding review with an excessive and expensive party with lobsters for everyone and free booze. But it was fun. The ocean is delicious.

This was followed by an exciting weekend of... house cleaning! Everything got cleaned up, and Steph spent both days in the yard weeding and trimming all the various plants. Did anyone see the ESPN article on over/under rated teams? Oregon came in as the #3 underrated team over the last 10 years, behind just WSU and Boise State. And the Pac-10 was far and away the most underrated conference. I think we should really appreciate how good we Duck fans have had it the last few years.
What does a corporation owe it's employees? As an employee, I think you owe work towards your employer. Your employer owes you a paycheck, and maybe some perks/benefits (like heath coverage). If you leave, give 2 weeks notice. If you get laid off (for non-performance related issues), a severance package of at least 2 weeks. What else? A green cookie on St. Patrick's Day?

I can eat shrimp and lobster, I'm just not that impressed with them. If tuna's the chicken of the sea, then shrimp are like the worms of the sea. Although crab can be tasty...real crab, not those miserable disgusting blue things keeping the bottom of the Chesapeake's shit population in check. But now I'm rambling about crustacea.
The sad part is, I've seen that Cane commercial a few times, and bother Syd with that line every third time we walk past the sugar at Freddy's, and I never connected the twain. Even worse, Syd says she thought the same thing as you when she saw the ads.
