A First Shout Into The Void

Well, this is my first blog posting. I never kept a diary when I was growing up or really kept up with writing in any way. About the longest I sustained a writing excersize was keeping a journal while I toured Europe after high school. That was for 3 months, off-and-on, but managed to do every day or three. So it will be interesting how long I keep this up. Part of me always feels like this is something really important I should do for myself, my family & friends and my (future) kids. My grandfather from my Mom's side wrote his memoirs and my mom is really glad to have them. But this is nicer in the sense that it's real-time and not filtered (as much). But then there's the part of me that feels that nothing all that interesting happens to me, and why bother writing about nothing?
